Information

Added some information from an updated iRO description page, particularly the Cast Delay reduction effect.--Nibbles 16:39, 30 November 2007 (MST)

Are you certain the information is correct? I believe it was Rav that removed those cells from the old table to try and get more accurate results. Jumping 23% from level 9 to 10 doesn't really seem right... --Deviattor 18:21, 30 November 2007 (MST)
Music Lessons influence in cast reduction is that big? A total of 20% at level 10? Care to share the source please? I'm reverting to the old known 10%. --Sdk_shadowtech 18:20, 24 January 2009 (MST)

The following information was gathered today on the iRO Sakray server.

I used an LK, using Magnum Break, with 627 SP (20 Breaks), overweight to prevent SP regeneration, with 182 ASpd.
I used a stopwatch each time, so there's going to be a bit of error that I just cannot eliminate.
Timed from when I first hit the Magnum hotkey to when I saw the last Magnum trigger. Times are rounded.
 The Minstrel had 1+4 Int.

The reason I used Magnum Break is it has a 2 second delay and no cast time, so any change in time is change in Delay.

With no Strings, 40 seconds to drain SP.
 With Strings 1, Lessons 1: 39 seconds (~3% change)
 With Strings 1, Lessons 10: 32 seconds (~20% change)
 With Strings 9, Lessons 10: 23 seconds (~43% change)
 With Strings 10, Lessons 10: 14 seconds (~65% change)
With Strings 10, Lessons 10, 100 Int on minstrel: 8 seconds (~80% change)

The last test was done to confirm that at Strings 10/Lessons 10, with 5 Int on the Minstrel, the delay had not reached the point that the 182 ASpd of the LK was overriding the Strings' Reduction. Also note that the final test is approximately the ASpd of the LK of 2.5 attacks per second, so it's likely that there was still more Reduction that was hidden by the LK's ASpd for a 100 Int Strings.

This set of tests indicate that:

Lessons 10 accounts for significantly more than a 10% Delay Reduction.
There is a sizeable jump from Strings 9 to Strings 10 in Delay Reduction, of around the 23% change from the iRO website.

Given this, I recommend reverting Lessons BACK to 20% @ 10, and returning the Delay Reductions to match those from the iRO website.

Some additional information, this time a cast-time test.

High Wizard with 9 Dex, casting SG 10.
The Minstrel used had only 19 Dex.

With no Strings, cast time averaged to 14.4 seconds.
With Strings 1, ML 10: 12.4 seconds (~14% change)
With Strings 10, ML 10: 8.5 seconds (~40% change)

This test indicates that the:

Cast Time Reduction for Music Lessons is ~10% at level 10.
Cast Time Reduction for Magic Strings at level 10 is about 30%.
