Clothes Dye
Characters may dye their clothing using Omni Clothing Dye from the Kafra Shop. The exception is that Doram characters' clothing dye options are not yet available. Besides dyeing, ways to temporarily modify the apparent clothing color may be to wear a costume that obscures parts of the original color or ghosts it out to a grayish color. See Hair Styling for further character customization.
To dye your clothing, use the Stylist NPC with an Omni Clothing Dye Coupon from the Kafra Shop in your inventory. There are several stylists NPCs in different towns at the locations listed below. Click the links to copy coordinates and paste into your chat box in-game. They are identified by the stylist symbol hovering above them.
Stylist Jovovich in Prontera
Stylist Maxi in Juno
Stylist Aesop in Rachel
Stylist Prince Shammi in Lighthalzen
Stylist Lonza in Lasagna
Stylist Veronica in Alberta
The outdated NPCs Dinorah Lacostt in Prontera or 2nd Floor of Eden will also change your dye colors and show a list of color options when prompted.
Click on the middle set of arrows displayed near your character in the stylist menu to switch between colors. The bottom set of arrows shown with a curve below your character rotate the view you see. Second Costume Tickets can also be used at this NPC to change to 3rd job JRO costumes.
- The dye remains through job changes, but may not stay the same color as your original choice. For example, the female arch bishop color option for red turns into green as a cardinal.
- To return to your original color, you must purchase a separate Omni Clothing Dye and repeat the process.
- At level 170, you will receive a Second Costume Ticket as a reward for completing the "With new attitudes! (1) or (2)" achievement. This will unlock the JRO 3rd job class costume style, which you can use at the Stylist or the others listed above. (Does not apply to expanded job classes or dorams.)
