is 99 DEX worth it?
« on: June 12, 2014, 07:53:06 AM »
Need help regarding my monks stats. I'm planning on creating a fast cast Monk, I'm having a dilemma on whether I should go for a balanced build or an all in Dex build.

The server isn't official yet, but they've announced that pRO is creating a classic server. Im hoping that's it's a 2-2 classic server, rather than a Rebirth server.

I've tried calculators and other stuff, but I still can't decide.

This is mainly for PVP and if VIT forbid WOE.

"Balanced Build" (No items, just base stat and job bonuses)

STR 82+8
AGI 3+7
VIT 44+6
INT 22+2
DEX 96+4
LUK 7+3

"All in Dex Build" (No items, just base stat and job bonuses)

STR 82+8
AGI 3+7
VIT 34+6
INT 27+2
DEX 99+4
LUK 7+3

Additional question: What cards/equips adds additional damage to occult impaction? Is it true that Evil Druid armor increases Occult Impaction, I read it somwhere but can't seem to find the source.

I have no idea where you might have gotten that bit about Evil Druid armor increasing Occult Impact. That's not true and doesn't make sense, if you look at what evil druid card does.

Your standard +xx% race/size/element/dmg cards increases OI damage. OI is also based on your atk, so any +atk stuff works. +str cards have priority over +atk cards if it will help you reach your next str bonus. Otherwise, use +atk cards.

OI is "forced neutral", but it still follows elemental reductions - raydric cards, valk shield elemental resistances, etc. So for example, if your target is wearing raydric card, using cursed water allows you to ignore his 20% resistance against neutral attacks. However, if he is using Valk shield, using cursed water means the 20% resistance against shadow attacks from valk shield will work against you.

Aside from that odd thing about elemental reductions, being forced neutral means it will always be neutral with regards to armor element. This means ghostring card will always reduce your damage even if you use cursed water or endows.

No 99 dex isn't worth it.

You need more vit.
