BUG NOTICE (Confirmed as of October 18th 2023): It is currently impossible to start this quest as Zelmeto is permanently stuck in Smog Alert mode regardless of whether you've touched this quest before. Seems to maybe have been fixed as of December 12th 2023. Further investigation is needed w.r.t. whether the bug at the bottom of the page also is, after enough people have been through this quest again.
- Inside the Einbroch Factory (the factory is located at the center bottom of the city , there is a friendly factory supervisor, Zelmeto .
- He'll talk about the hardship and understaffing in the factory. After deciding to help him, he suggests inspecting parts of the factory.
- He speaks of the parts that need examining. Check each one then return to him before checking the next.
- 2nd Control Panel: Inside Einbroch (In between the npc Canphotii and the npc Lowe.)
- 3rd Pressure Governor: Inside Einbroch (Below the npc Teinz.)
- Main Control Panel: Inside Einbroch (Nearby Zelmeto, near a pool of lava.)
- Conveyor (Small): Inside Einbroch (This one is a bit tricky. It's an invisible npc below the npc Dorf.)
- Pipe: Inside Einbroch (To the left of these coordinates, walking back to the npc Zherin, near the stairs.)
- Conveyor (Large): Inside Einbroch (Go in the hall near Zelmeto, past the npc Dinje.)
- Zelmeto will talk to the manager and request that the parts be fixed. Head out the back entrance to the factory to find the big fat ugly Liotzburg
- He is the factory manager and reveals he's too stingy to use his money for the factory.
.
- Go inside and find Zelmeto again. Zelmeto can fix the broken parts if he has the following:
- 20 Flexible Tube (Metaling)
- 10 Rusty Screw (Juperos, Teddy Bear or Metaling)
- 10 Used Iron Plate (Old Stove or Remover in Biolabs).
- Give him the materials. After he fixes the part, he thanks the player and rewards them with some experience.

Smog Alert
After Completing the Factory Quest a set number of times, players will be able to trigger the Smog Alert just by getting close to the Factory Manager which opens a dialogue which triggers the Smog Alert once completed. Talking to Zelmeto will teleport you near the Factory Manager as well.
- Once the alarm is raised, some Einbroch NPCs including the Train Staff and Kafra Staff will be hidden.
- Smog Alert will end after one of the requirements is met.
- Defeat the spawned Mobs
- After 6 Days 22 Hours and 40 Minutes has passed since the time of the alert was raised
- After meeting the requirements, the Smog Alert will end and cannot be triggered until the Factory Quest is completed a number of times again.
- [Bug as of 9/7: Smog Alert can still be triggered again by interacting with the Factory Manager]
Note: While server maintenance ends the Smog Alert, the condition to trigger it is not reset and therefore can be easily re-activated by interacting with the Factory Manager.
