Individual Patches From FTP Site
Why not add the location of the official patch site where the individual patch files are stored? Then users can download individual files that are giving them a problem.
Official Patch FTP Site: ftp://38.136.124.3/patch/ --Naeko
Instructions to use downloaded patches
Now that the official patch site has been added, basic instructions should be added. For example, the individual patches are placed in the main Ragnarok Online folder (the same folder where the main EXE files are) prior to running the program. Then, when the RO program is started, the game client will use the downloaded files first before attempting to download them from the patch server. This should occur fairly rapidly. When updated, the patch files can be removed from the Ragnarok Online folder to avoid cluttering it up.Naeko (talk) 08:26, 12 December 2012 (GMT)
BitTorrent and hashes
I don't know why the link to the BitTorrent metafile for the client was removed, but I think it should be re-added. Although it's outdated, it's still useful for people who struggle to download the client using other protocols without it being corrupted.
I also think it would be useful to provide a MD5 hash for the client installer so people can verify that their download was successful.
Install Packages – checksums
Checksums | |
---|---|
SHA-1 | bda295e3a2a57cd02bd122ed7bf4836ac012369a |
MD5 | 53c0f5481eeca1f7a9268f95350e83c9 |
MD5 checksum may need to be confirmed by a couple other users, since Gravity did not provide one. The checksum I provided was obtained from an installer whose SHA-1 sum matches the official one. --Espeon 20:04, 1 June 2011 (MDT)
