Spooky Machine still uses B-O-O Cards in 2023 (episode 17.2) to improve refining chances
Empirical testing shows the difference in success rates between using and not_using BOO cards is very large.
Using BOO cards:
- 1st try --> +7 Eden Merit Badge
- 2nd try --> +4 Prize Medals quantity=3
- 3rd try --> +5 Yggdrasil Seeds quantity=3
- 4th try --> +9 Battle Manuals quantity=three BMx3 (200% exp boost (300% VIP), 30 minutes, tradeable/sellable)
- 5th try --> +7 Eden Merit Badge
- 6th try --> +6 Lightweight Stat+10 Food (one for each stat)
- 7th try --> +8 Mental Potions quantity=2
- 8th try --> +11 Heroic Backpack costume (can be enchanted with stones)
- 9th try --> +5 Yggdrasil Seeds
- 10th try --> +6 Lightweight Stat+10 Food

Because I got both costumes with Heroic Backpack at the +11 refine position, this verifies that Year 2023 uses the previous 2022 event results chart. I think that for 2023, the positions of the the Heroic Backpack and Fluttering Autumn Leaf items should be transposed. RETESTING (starting March 12) does Spooky Machine still gives improved chances with B-O-O cards?
One B and two O cards are still consumed with each try, and it is still better than not using BOO cards. But so far it is not as good as it used to be in the middle of last year.
