Guide:Repatch

Overview

This is a guide on how to repatch or reupdate the game, useful to do in case your game has errors. If you had installed/reinstalled the game, check Clients and Patches instead.

Instructions

For example, I want to repatch the latest patch which was Sept 7, 2023 for me.

1. Go to this website and fill in the blanks: https://choobs.org/stuff/patch.php
2. Server should be: chaos (renewal)
3. To get patch number, go into RO folder, find patch2.txt, open it, and scroll all the way down.

   

4. Look for the patch date, earliest one you want. Then go one patch up earlier and use that one's number.
   • For example, I want Sept 7, and the earliest one for that is #4744. So I will pick #4743.

   

5. Back on the website, put in the patch number.
6. Follow the instructions on website.

   

   

Fail to get patch error

Also, If someone faces Failed to get YYYY-MM-DD_live_data_XXX_XXX_XXXXXXXXXX.gpf/rgz error while patching client follow these steps:

1. Open File Explorer. Click on the address bar and paste this ftp://ropatch2.gravityus.com/patch/ . Then press Enter.

   

2. Now look and copy the file that has failed in your patch. Eg: YYYY-MM-DD_live_data_XXX_XXX_XXXXXXXXXX.gpf/rgz. Copy this file in your Ragnarok root folder.
3. Run the patch again and it should work.
