Rapid Smiting (Alt: Shield Chain) is a Transcendent 2nd class offensive skill available as Paladin.
Effect
Smashes a single target with the equipped shield five times, where each hit will inflict ranged physical damage. The damage is affected by the equipped shield's weight and upgrade level, and its hit rate is increased by 20.

Notes
- Despite the animation, all damage is connected in one single bundle.
- Ignores the size penalty.
- The special effect of Ice Pick does not work with this skill.
- Being cursed does not lower the damage of this skill.
- This skill carries status effects, whether from cards or special weapons.
Applications
- Cross Shield and Strong Shield are good choices for the use of this skill.
- Using Provoke against enemies with strong defense can significantly boost damage.
- In PvP environment, Shield Boomerang can be used with Marina or Stormy Knight carded weapons to freeze enemies and then use this skill. Shrink can also be very useful when using Rapid Smiting.
