  • Instance Cooldown Quest Name: Space distortion (with the lowercase letter D on the quest window. "Space Distortion" with a capital D refers to the Old Glast Heim quest).

1. To start the quest, you have to use the Dimensional Device located on Rune Midgard Allied Forces Post within the New World or simply go to the Eden Group Headquarters and talk with the Cat Hand agent moc_para011830 to access the New World and then the Dimensional Gorge. From there proceed to the second map and speak to Historian Shep dali02134119. Now talk to the NPC right next to him Magic Scholar Artie and once the instance is ready, click on Dimensional Device and select Enter.

2. Inside the instance, talk to Officer Heim after the small dialog between the NPCs. Now move towards the west (around coordinates 33/112) and you will see 7 injured soldiers. Talk to Healer Fama and she will give you a cure box: use it on each of the injured soldiers by talking to them (you need 1 cure box for each NPC, so keep talking to Healer Fama to receive more boxes).

3. After healing all the soldiers, move back towards Healer Fama, and Lucille will appear. Talk to Lucille and keep walking to the east where you will see Assassin Dewey. Talk to him and choose "Move Now" to be warped to the next room.

4. In this corridor [Evil Shadow] will appear and your mission is to kill 7 of each type (there are 3 types and a popup will appear informing when you killed them all). Once you are done, talk to Assassin Louie at the end of the corridor to be teleported to the next room.

5. Talk to Lucile in the center of the room and she will explain she can't move and need your help so she can activate her restoration system and a long cast bar will appear above you, but at this moment you are going to be interrupted by more Evil Shadow. Kill them all and talk to Lucile and help her again. Now speak to Assassin Huey and choose "Move immediately" to proceed to the next area.

6. Now you are on top of the Thanatos Tower where you can see Thanatos battling Satan Morocc. Talk to Lucille and 5 [Magic Seals] will spawn on the five edges of the map (check the picture below for reference). Your objective is to eliminate all Magic Seals before they reach the center of the map (and if this happens, they will respawn at the edges and start moving toward the center again. In this case, ignore the ones you've killed and keep your progression). During this stage, Evil Shadow and some Fire Wall will spawn as well, you can ignore them and focus on the seals. After killing all the Magic Seals, talk to Assassin Lucille to continue.

Note1: Seals have 10m HP but they spawn with only 1-2m HP left. They are not boss flagged, which means they can be inflicted with status, polymorphed, and pushed back.

Note2: Each time the Magic Seal moves forward, it's basically a new seal. All status ailments will be cured, and things like element changing will be reverted to its original element (tested using earth element changing trap: after moving the Seals will become neutral element again) but maintaining previous HP.

Note3: When a Seal is about to move forward, it will temporarily disappear - giving you the false impression it was destroyed - to reappear a few cells forward. Make sure you actually killed it and not that it just moved forward (when a Seal is destroyed a green message will appear on the screen).

7. In this next room kill all the Evil Shadows and then talk to Young Girl and a portal will appear behind her (close to the wall/bookshelf. Sometimes the portal sprite does not appear, but it is there, just invisible). Go inside, keep killing all the Evil Shadows that appear, and move through the portal by the stairs at the end of the room. After a small dialog, kill the last group of monsters and move to the next room.

8. Now you're in a large room with a giant cauldron in the middle. Kill all the mobs around the area and meet up with Loki and Morocc Lord Knight around the middle of the room. Talk to them and you will be transported to the boss's room.

9. Talk to Loki and he will join with you as a mercenary (only the party leader will get Loki's Shadow mercenary). Proceed to the center and defeat [Evil Believer]. Once defeated, you will be warped to the treasure room where you can receive Evil Slayer weapons (similar to Giant Faceworm Snake Skin, these weapons are already upgraded and enchanted). Now talk to Loke one last time to exit the instance.

Note4: it seems that on iRO this isn't necessary but If needed: in case the boss is receiving only "1 damage" per hit, use CTRL + R to open the 'Mercenary Info Window' and see Loki's skills. Put Loki's skill Mind Blaster on your hotkeys and use it on the Evil Believer before you begin attacking it so he can receive proper damage. This skill has a 30sec cooldown.

10. Talk to Historian Shep again to receive the exp and to start the cooldown timer.

Note5: The enchants can repeat (you may drop a weapon with 3 of the same enchant, e.g. +2 Evil Slayer Stabber Dagger FS7 FS7 FS7).
Note6: On iRO, useless evil slayer weapons that are +7 or higher can be fed to Eat Gear for Safe to 7 Certificates. You can only see the upgrade of the weapon after using a Magnifier on it.
