Scrolls are special consumable items that enable the user to cast a spell that may not normally be available to them, without spending SP. When using a spell via a scroll, all calculations are handled as if you're actually casting the spell yourself: MATK, casting time and so on, and are influenced by your equipment.

Special exception

Although usually scrolls are expended when used, there is an exception: a Taekwon-class character in Happiness status can lower the chance of an Earth Spike (Either level 3 or 5) scroll actually burning up to as low as 1% per use by raising his or her Happy Break skill. However, using a scroll in such way expends 10 SP.

  • Additional note: the scroll is consumed when you use it, not when you actually select a target and use the spell. Don't mash your activation hotkey.
