Undead (race)

The Undead race is one of the ten monster races in Ragnarok Online. It has traits associated with the dead including the immunity to Frozen and Stone Curse like the Undead Element. Undead monsters are very often paired with Undead or Dark (Shadow) element, while other elements are rare. It is common for them to be highly vulnerable to holy element attacks. Fire also does well against them.

Cards

The following cards concern the Undead race. See each item description for further details.

Sets

• Acolyte Card Set: Decreases damage from these monsters by 30% and increases the experience gain from them by 5%. (Only for Acolyte class)
• Nightmare Arclouse Card & Nightmare Mimic Card Set:
  • Reduces damage taken from Undead race enemies by an additional 5%.
  • Bypass 50% of hard magic defense of Undead race targets when performing a physical attack.
• Nightmare Arclouse Card & Nightmare Minorous Card Set:
  • Reduces damage taken from Undead race enemies by an additional 5%.
  • Bypass 50% of hard defense of Undead race targets when performing a physical attack.

Weapon

• Ancient Tree Card: Increases magical damage on Undead race targets by 10%.
• Fur Seal Card: Increases Critical Hit Rate against these monsters by 9. (Only for Acolyte class)
• Goblin Archer Card: Increases critical damage against these monsters by 10% and increases Critical Hit Rate against them by 7.
• Lord Sakray Card: Increases physical damage on Undead race targets by 30%.
• Nightmare Mimic Card: Increases magical damage on Undead race targets 5%.
• Nightmare Minorous Card: Increases physical damage on Undead race targets by 10%.
• Zombie Master Card: Recovers 5 SP when killing these monsters with physical attacks.
• Pom Spider Card: Increases damage against undead monsters by 20%.

Armor

• Nightmare Amon Ra Card: Increase magic damage against Undead race monsters by 50%

Shield

• Nightmare Arclouse Card: Reduces damage taken from Undead race enemies by 20%.
• Teddy Bear Card: Decreases damage from these monsters by 30%.

Shoes

• Zombie Prisoner Card: Increases damage from these monsters by 20% and increases the experience gain from them by 10%.

Accessory

• Wraith Card: It has a chance of getting a Giggling Box when killing one of these monsters.

Equipment

Weaponry

• Divine Cross: Decreases damage from these monsters by 15%.

  Combo with Spiritual Ring: Decreases further damage from these monsters by 10%.

• Golden Mace (and more slotted): Increases damage against these monsters by 10%.
• Grand Cross (and slotted): Recovers 1 SP for each physical attack against these monsters and recovers 5 SP when killing them with physical attacks.
• Kaiser Knuckle: Increases damage against these monsters by 5%.
• Kuroiro-OS [2]: If upgrade level is +11 or higher, increases physical and magical damage on Undead race targets by 10%.
• Sabbath: Increases Critical Hit Rate against these monsters by 50. It has a 0.5% chance of leaving them in coma when physically attacking.
• Slash: It has a 0.1% chance of leaving these monsters in coma when physically attacking and increases the experience gain from them by 5%.
• Spectral Spear (and slotted): Decreases damage from these monsters by 10%.
• Illusion Spectral Spear [1]:
  • Reduces damage taken from Undead race enemies by 10%.
  • Reduces damage taken from Undead race enemies by an additional 3% per 2 upgrade levels of the item.

Armory

• Charming Ribbon: Decreases damage from these monsters by 10%.
• Eye of Dullahan: Decreases damage from these monsters by 4%.
• Jasper Crest: Increases damage against these monsters by 5%.
• Munak Hat (and slotted): Decreases damage from these monsters by 10%.
• Peace Pipe: Reduces damage taken from Undead race monsters by 5%.
• Platinum Shield: Decreases damage from these monsters by 10%.
• Shoes of Judgement: Decreases damage from these monsters by 10%.
• Skull Ring (and slotted): Decreases damage from these monsters by 1%.
• Witch's Pumpkin Hat: Increases damage against these monsters by 15%.
• Magician Knit Hat:
  • Increases physical and magical damage on Undead race targets by 5%.
  • Reduces damage taken from Undead race enemies by 2%.
  • If upgrade level is +7 or higher,
    • Increases physical and magical damage on Undead race targets by an additional 10%.
    • Reduces damage taken from Undead race enemies by an additional 3%.
  • If upgrade level is +9 or higher,
    • Increases physical and magical damage on Undead race targets by an additional 10%.
    • Reduces damage taken from Undead race enemies by an additional 5%.
• Abyss Dress:
  • If upgrade level is +5 or higher, increases physical and magical damage on Undead race targets by 10%.
  • If upgrade level is +7 or higher, increases physical and magical damage on Undead race targets by an additional 15%.
  • If upgrade level is +9 or higher, increases physical and magical damage on Undead race targets by an additional 15%.
• Kirin Horn: Reduces damage taken from Undead race enemies by 2%.

Equipment Sets

• Holy Stick & Shoes of Punishment Set:
  • If Holy Stick [1] upgrade level is +7 or higher, increases magical damage on Undead race targets by 30%.
  • If Holy Stick [1] upgrade level is +9 or higher, increases magical damage on Undead race targets by an additional 20%.
