MRES is another layer of defense that reduces magical damage taken. MRES behaves very similarly to Hard MDEF but the value is slightly less effective.
MRES is primarily gained from Level 2 Armor and WIS stat.
Formula
Similar to Hard magic defense, MRES reduce magical damage multiplicatively.
- Damage after MRES =
Damage × [(2000 + MRES) ÷ (2000 + MRES × 5)]
Bypassing MRES
- The amount bypassed cannot exceed 50%.
Cardinal's skill Argutus Vita provides 25% bypass.
