RES is another layer of defense that reduces physical damage taken. RES behaves very similarly to Hard DEF but the value is slightly less effective.

RES is primarily gained from Level 2 Armor and STA stat.


Similar to Hard defense, RES reduce physical damage multiplicatively. This reduction is applied before skill multiplier.

  • Damage after RES = Damage × [(2000 + RES) ÷ (2000 + RES × 5)]

Bypassing RES

Skills that naturally treat Hard DEF as Soft DEF such as Dragon Breath, Dragon Water Breath, Cart Cannon, Arm Cannon will not receive reduction from targets' RES.

The amount bypassed cannot exceed 50%.
