Shield Spell (Alt: Shield Spell) is a 3rd class active skill available as Royal Guard.

Effect

Evokes one of many magical spells based on the Defense, Magic Defense and upgrade level of the equipped shield depending on the skill level used.

Notes

  • Only one spell can be active at any time.
  • Spells cast from this skill are not canceled when the shield is unequipped. It will last for the full duration or until...
  • It should be noted that if the user were to try and cast this skill at Level 2 and the equipped shield has no Magic Defense, nothing will happen.

Defense based Spells

Spell 1

Inflicts Neutral property Physical Damage to all enemies in an area around the user and pushes them 2 cells backwards.

  • 3x3 when Shield DEF is 0 ~ 40.
  • 5x5 when Shield DEF is 41 ~ 80.
  • 7x7 when Shield DEF is 81+.
Damage (ATK) = [(Base_Lv × 4) + (Shield_DEF × 10) + (VIT × 2)]%

Spell 2

Reflects Melee damage. (Does not work against Bosses).

Duration = [Shield_DEF]s
Reflect Rate = [Shield_DEF ÷ 10]%

Spell 3

Increases Physical Attack temporarily. Only the base defense of the shield is accounted.

Duration = [Shield_DEF × 3]s
ATK Increase = Shield_DEF

Magic Defense based Spells

Spell 1

Inflicts Holy property Magic Damage to all enemies in an set area around the user.

  • 3x3 when Shield MDEF is 1 ~ 3.
  • 5x5 when Shield MDEF is 4 ~ 5.
  • 7x7 when Shield MDEF is 6+.
Damage (MATK) = [(Base_Lv × 4) + (Shield_MDEF × 100) + (INT × 2)]%

Spell 2

Casts Lex Divina on all enemies in an area around the user.

  • 3x3 when Shield MDEF is 1 ~ 3.
  • 5x5 when Shield MDEF is 4 ~ 5.
  • 7x7 when Shield MDEF is 6+.

Spell 3

Casts Magnificat on the user.

Refinement Rate based Spells

Spell 1

Allows the user to break armor at a 100% rate when inflicting damage.

Spell 2

Increases Physical Defense and Status Resistance.

Duration = [Shield_Upgrade × 30]s
DEF Increase = (Shield_Upgrade × 10) + (BaseLv ÷ 100)
Status Resist = [(Shield_Upgrade × 10) + (LUK ÷ 10)]%

Spell 3

Restores a portion of the user's HP.

HP Restored = [(Base_Lv ÷ 10) + (Shield_Upgrade + 1)]%
