Description

Cast a manhole on the ground, trapping a single target that enters the cell or any adjacent cell. Once trapped, the target cannot use active Skills or attack. Only buffs and Shadow Formation can be cast on the target while in this state. A Shadow Chaser may have up to 3 active manholes at any time.

Level Duration SP Cost
1 5s 20
2 10s 25
3 15s 30

The Duration represents a single manhole's time limit to trap a victim. Upon successfully trapping a target, this timer resets, ensuring a maximum amount of capture time.

Mechanics

During this trapped state, the target is effectively removed from gameplay. Any traps placed beneath a target in Manhole will only take effect once they are released. The only method to damage a player in this state is through Shadow Formation, or status effects such as Burning, which still work during this duration. Other effects, including Reflect Damage or Gravitational Field, will not deal damage.

A manhole cannot be cast directly under a target, but can be placed beside one, effectively trapping them instantly. Doing so will also shift the player 1 cell towards the center of the manhole. Manholes can no longer be placed adjacent current manholes, which prevents the "infinite trapping" that used to take place.

Notes

  • Both allies and opponents are affected by Manhole.
  • Manholes cannot be placed in towns.
  • Magnetic Earth will remove Manholes, but will not free any trapped targets.
  • Manholes are also removed when the user leaves the map.
  • Manholed players can still use items as normal.
