Description
Safety Wall creates a barrier that protects the targeted cell from physical attacks until it is broken or expires.
A Safety Wall will break when its HP are depleted, or it is hit a certain number of times. The initial HP value of a Safety Wall is based on the skill level used, the caster's INT, the caster's maximum SP, and the caster's job level.
The formula that determines a Safety Wall's initial HP value is not exactly known, but is believed to closely resemble:
7000 × (1 + 0.1 × Job level ÷ 50) + 300 × Skill level + 65 × INT + Maximum SP
A Safety Wall will always block at least one hit because the hit that breaks it will be completely absorbed.
Safety Walls cannot be overlapped or created on cells that are protected by Pneuma or Magnetic Earth.

Applications
Safety Wall can be used to easily tank low ASPD monsters in PVM environments. High ASPD monsters can also be dealt with if the user is capable of casting Safety Wall fast enough once it is consumed, or by simply casting a new Safety Wall in a neighboring cell and moving when the previous SW is about to expire. It is less effective for tanking multiple monsters, as it will quickly consume the Safety Wall. This is highly effective for tanking MVPs, as long as its mob can be tanked by a separate character.
In PvP, Safety Wall is useful for tanking offensive melee skills such as Guillotine Fist, Martyr's Reckoning or Enchant Deadly Poison-buffed Sonic Blow. For this to be effective, the user requires sufficient DEX to cast Safety Wall quickly before the attack occurs. Magnetic Earth and Ganbantein can remove Safety Walls.
Notes
- Safety Wall does not protect against status effects or knockback unless they are side effects of a blocked attack.
- Against monsters, Safety Wall blocks all melee attacks, melee skills, and some ranged skills when used at close range.
