Overview

Doram start in the Summoner class and remain in this class from base level 1 through 200. Summoners may begin their change into the Spirit Handler class at the request board payon165116 in Payon.

Builds

NOTE| Dorams' max job level is 50 prior to level 100. If you want to reset your skill points to learn the advanced skills you can talk to the hypnotist in Prontera or Izlude while you are still below level 100.

Physical animal-based build

Stat Amount Notes
STR 100~120 Base damage
AGI 1~100+ More than 1 means more flee rate and taking more advantage of Arclouze Dash
VIT 95+ For better survivability
INT 40+ Better SP pool
DEX 120+ For bonuses like Menblatt Card, Earthworm Charm
LUK 30+ When STR and DEX get expensive, spend points on LUK

You may already know how devastating is the offensive power of Doram race, but if you don't, you can try it on your own. Picky Peck can be easily used as the primary damaging skill against MvP using Earthworm Charms achieving even more than 200k per hit if wearing the right equipment and also doubles its damage when the target is below 50% of its HP. The damaging skills of physical Doram count as ranged damage, so ranged damage bonuses are priority.

Magical Build

Stat Amount Notes
STR 1+ For weight limit. You can dump leftover points into this
AGI 1+ Unnecessary
VIT 95+ For better survivability
INT 100~120 If using Mob Scarf make sure Int+Dex is divisible through 80
DEX 80~120 A lot of CN Meteor's cast is fixed, more than 80 is only recommended if you use a Mob Scarf
LUK 1+ You can dump leftover points into this

This build uses the Magical Tree of the Summoner class. SV Stem Spear is a single target spell that comes with Fire, Wind, Earth, Water and Ghost element, while CN Meteor is a strong Neutral elemental AoE. The magic Doram not only specializes in offense but also in several tricks that can be used for supporting a party or survivability while going solo.

Players have the choice to either concentrate on the Magical Tree only, or to put a few points into the supportive tree, getting more offensive power than a pure support build while not losing a lot of supportive power:

If the player chooses to get only the Magic Tree Skills, they will have access to Nyang Grass which reduces the opponent's MDef and Spirit of Land, which provides minor boosts to a few skills.

If the player instead chooses to hybridize the Magic Tree with the Support Tree, they gain access to Tuna Party (recommended level 5) to greatly increase their pulling capabilities, Tuna Belly (level 3 is enough for this build and will still heal up to 50% of the target's max HP) to allow easy and cheap healing as well as Bunch of Shrimp (level 3 as pre-skill is enough, more levels only increase the duration not the buff's power) to gain a 10% MAtk buff for a certain time.

Full Support Build

Stat Amount Notes
STR 1+ For weight limit. Can be 90+ if taking Picky Peck
AGI 1~90+ For Flee rate under the effects of Purring or Grooming
VIT 95~110+ For better tuna shield and survivability
INT 90+ Can be 120 or more if taking SV Stem Spear
DEX 80+
LUK 1+ Mostly for perfect dodge and status resistance

This build takes priority on the healing capabilities of Summoner class. Tasty Shrimp Party skill casts Fresh Shrimp on all party members on sight and gives a huge SP regeneration increase for a really short time, Bunch of Shrimp skill not only buffs all party members on sight, it also heals them by a little amount. Tuna Belly skill may be the most useful healing skill in the game, healing 90% of the target max HP and can effectively heal characters under the effects of Frenzy. Also, by learning Purring, the user can cure a wide variety of status effects to all party members on sight, including Mandragora Howling.

VIT and MaxHP are priority for those who want to maximize their use of Tuna Party both for themselves and allies. Note that tuna shield does NOT take damage reductions from Stoop (probably Steel Body too, needs to be tested).

Another option is sacrificing 4 skill points on the basic seafood skills (Best option is to set Bunch of Shrimp and choosing between Fresh Shrimp or Tuna Belly at skill level 3, since the healing amount of Fresh Shrimp doesn't depend on skill level and Bunch of Shrimp buffing time gets extended by 2 minutes with Spirit of Sea anyways, Tuna Belly is used mostly at level 2 due to no cooldown) to stack 5 skill points total without learning Soul Attack that can be used for learning SV Stem Spear or Picky Peck to be able to kill single targets while wearing two of the respective skill-specific accessories.

Equipment

The Doram race has only a few general equipment available for use, but there are useful Doram-only equipment which include three sets of armor for levels 100, 140 and 175 respectively, that gives them uninterruptible cast, fixed cast time reduction, max HP increase and other stats. Other non-Doram-exclusive Armors/Garments/Shoes could be used, but they aren't recommended unless the player has a high budget to spend on. Keep in mind that none of the three Doram sets provide MDEF. Imperial gear is available after doing the Terra Gloria quest. Grace gear is available after doing the Illusion quest line.

Armor

  • 15074.png Geffen Magic Robe [1] - This armor provides uninterruptible cast for any Doram not intending to use the Doram-specific armors. Requires level 99.

Headgear

Upper.

  • 5211.png Dress Hat [1] - This headgear can be very versatile and useful for all three skill trees, but a more specialized headgear will still be recommended.
  • 5359.png Airship Captain's Hat [1] - Highly recommended for animal-based builds due to the ranged damage bonus.
  • 5564.png Crown of Deceit [1] - For magic builds. Keep in mind that if you equip two Shining Branch Charms the variable cast time of SV Stem Spear is 0%, so the variable cast time reduction is mostly for Catnip Meteor while using the magic accessory sets, even if Catnip Meteor casting time is 4/9 fixed.
  • 18848.png Lush Rose - Obtainable from Horror Toy Factory instance. Has a great MATK bonus and is enchantable.
  • 18652.png Vanargand Helm [1] - For physical builds. The HP and SP gain is really important while going solo.
  • 18849.png Celine's Ribbon [1] - Direct upgrade of Lush Rose and is enchantable too.
  • 18673.png Chibi Pope [1] - Increases your healing by 5% plus 1% for each upgrade over +6. At +9 it gives 7% MATK and at +12 an additional 5% MATK. If used with Blush or slotted Blush, healing is increased by an additional 10%. This can be be one of your goals as a full support Summoner and will be even more useful if the user includes SV Stem Spear on their build.
  • 5286.png Pecopeco Hairband - Increases movement speed but increases variable cast time. Recommended only for puller builds like a full support doram who can't rely on Increase Agi all the time. Useless if there is an Arch Bishop in the party.
  • 19428.png Illusion Morpheus Hood [1] - For magic builds, when refined to +9, it makes casting uninterruptible for when you're not using the dedicated Doram armor set (suit, shoes, manteau). Obtained from the Illusion of Labyrinth quest.

Shield

  • 2146.png Silver Guard [1] - The cheapest option for Doram. The defense it provides is relatively high and doesn't use too much of your weight limit, so this shield may be a must-have for new players that don't want to spend points on STR.
  • 2168.png Immune Shield [1] - If over-upgraded, this shield can be the best option both for PvP and PvM.
  • 2115.png Valkyrja's Shield [1] - Argueably one of the best shields in the game and provides some of the MDEF the Doram sets won't give you.

Accessory

The Doram race has a system of equipment exchange that lets them get useful Doram-exclusive non-tradeable accessories. At lasagna136248 you can find the Chyara family, who trades Doram Tokens in return for your excess Doram-exclusive equipment from level 100 and above (for level 100 weapons, armors, footgears, garments and accessories they give you 2 Doram Token, for level 140 equipment they give you 3 Doram Token and for level 175 they give you 3 Doram Token). These tokens can then be traded in for secondary accessories.

The three basic Accessories obtained from monsters have additional bonuses when combined as a set with the three Doram armor sets. These accessories are:

Secondary accessories

For level 100 and above, the basic version is obtainable for 10 Doram Tokens each:

  • 28419.png Basic Bunny Charm [1] - DEX +1. When worn with Fresh Grass Necklace, Doram Manteau, Doram Suit and Doram Shoes gives max HP +20%, max SP +3%, Lunatic Carrot Beat damage +100%.
  • 28413.png Basic Saurel Charm [1] - VIT +1. When worn with Cute Grass Necklace, Doram Manteau, Doram Suit and Doram Shoes gives max HP +15%, max SP +5%, healing +10%, enables use Level 5 Heal.
  • 28416.png Basic Leaf Charm [1] - INT +1. When worn with Charming Grass Necklace, Doram Manteau, Doram Suit and Doram Shoes gives max HP +10%, max SP +10%, Catnip Meteor damage +100%.

For level 140 and above, the basic version is upgraded into its fair version for 30 Doram Tokens:

  • 28420.png Fair Bunny Charm [1] - DEX +2. When worn with Fresh Grass Necklace, Luxurious Doram Manteau, Luxurious Doram Suit and Luxurious Doram Shoes gives max HP +25%, max SP +6%, Lunatic Carrot Beat damage +150%.
  • 28414.png Fair Saurel Charm [1] - VIT +2. When worn with Cute Grass Necklace, Luxurious Doram Manteau, Luxurious Doram Suit and Luxurious Doram Shoes gives max HP +20%, max SP +10%, healing +20%, enables use Level 7 Heal.
  • 28417.png Fair Leaf Charm [1] - INT +2. When worn with Charming Grass Necklace, Luxurious Doram Manteau, Luxurious Doram Suit and Luxurious Doram Shoes gives max HP +15%, max SP +15%, Catnip Meteor damage +150%.

For level 175, the fair version is upgraded into its advanced version for 90 Doram Tokens:

  • 28421.png Advanced Bunny Charm [1] - DEX +3. When worn with Fresh Grass Necklace, Elegant Doram Manteau, Elegant Doram Suit and Elegant Doram Shoes gives max HP +30%, max SP +9%, Lunatic Carrot Beat damage +200%.
  • 28415.png Advanced Saurel Charm [1] - VIT +3. When worn with Cute Grass Necklace, Elegant Doram Manteau, Elegant Doram Suit and Elegant Doram Shoes gives max HP +25%, max SP +15%, healing +30%, enables use Level 9 Heal.
  • 28418.png Advanced Leaf Charm [1] - INT +3. When worn with Charming Grass Necklace, Elegant Doram Manteau, Elegant Doram Suit and Elegant Doram Shoes gives max HP +20%, max SP +20%, Catnip Meteor damage +200%.
Skill-specific accessories

There are three accessories for level 100 and above that boost a skill, these are obtainable for 30 Doram Token each:

  • 28424.png Plump Earthworm Charm [1] - Reduces variable casting time of Picky Peck by 50%. Increases damage of Picky Peck by 1% per level of Picky Peck known for every 6 base DEX. That means 100% bonus at 120 base DEX and 200% with two equipped. Having two Plump Earthworm Charms means insta-casting Picky Peck since it does not have fixed cast time.
  • 28423.png Fresh Tuna Charm [1] - Reduces cooldown of Tuna Party by 5 seconds. Adds chance of casting Tuna Party Lv.1 (Or highest level learned) on the user when receiving a short-ranged attack. Having two equipped reduces Tuna Party cooldown to 14 seconds, allowing 2 tuna shields at once.
  • 28422.png Shining Branch Charm [1] - Reduces variable casting time of [SV Stem Spear] by 50%. Increases damage of SV Stem Spear by 1% per level of SV Stem Spear known for every 6 base INT. That means 100% bonus at 120 base INT and 200% with two equipped. Keep in mind that SV Stem Spear has also fixed cast time.

Additional non-set equipment

This is a list of gear that can be useful for Summoner, but doesn't let the user get the several bonuses from the main doram sets, which includes uninterruptible cast, MaxHP/MaxSP bonuses and increase in each build main skills.

  • 22210.png Fluffy Fish Shoes - Both a blessing and a curse due to several bonuses at the cost of using one of the slots in the main doram sets. Fluffy Fish Shoes grants several cast time reductions for support skills based on the level of Tasty Shrimp Party, healing bonus based on the level of Grooming, protects the user from being knocked back and reduces fixed cast time by 50% if grooming is at max level and grants 20% MaxHP/MaxSP bonus and reduces cast delay by 20%. While being focused on support builds, the cast delay reduction can be useful for builds focused on spamming Picky Peck at the highest ASPD possible, but won't get as many benefits as a full support build.
